Our Vineyards

Each vine has its own ideal area of cultivation; our goal is succeeding in cultivating each cultivar in the most adequate ground, where exposition and climate conditions foster a perfect ripeness of the grapes, granting, one grape harvest after another, a constant quality and typical of the wines. This ambitious goal has grown only after a careful work of zonation in the most suitable wine areas of our region, which led us to acquire and sometimes to re-plant totally different new vineyards.

 

In this way today we directly cultivate ten different lots and each vine is located in its ideal ground, where it can express its best features. Our vineyards today grow up in the Rotaliana alluvial fan (historical Donati’s seat), on Trentino’s hills, in the Valley of the Lakes, up to Vallagarina. It has been a long and hard work, faithful to our productive philosophy to make wine only from directly cultivated grapes; a moving challenge.

 

Trentino region represents an orographically very diversified land. Accordingly our vineyards, up to 50 km away from Mezzocorona, represent very diversified situations as to grounds and microclimates, with altitudes of the lands varying from 180 to 600 meter upon sea level. This difference of ground foster a varietal richness of cultivars with diversified vegetal cycles. This allows to organize in the best way the cultivation steps and to quietly plan the strictly manual grape harvest, in a long time interval which can reach and overcome forty days.
